APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Tomorrow-Couple weeks
BUDGET RANGE: $700-$800 Before Rebates

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: gaming, internet, blu ray

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: monitor, OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: None

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe later

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1440x900 I believe. Don't have the monitor here. 19 inch widescreen I think.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Vista 64 bit for now, then probably Windows 7 later for the OS. First post and first time building a system. We'll see how it goes.

I went with a 500GB hardrive, but could go as low as 320GB. The one I found was similar in price to the 320s.

I've been looking at this for a week. Hopefully I've matched everything up correctly.

Thanks for the help ahead of time.

that mb wont allow you cf, this combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite... gives you the same cpu with a cf capable mb at 247.98$ after discount and mir.
I've heard thw rosewill psu are no good, I know Antec, maybe this will go (similar price) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... I think the psu will support cf (not sure, maybe wrong) get the case seperatly.
total $758.9 after discounts and mir

Thanks. I'll switch the MB out with your suggestion.

I'mma get some more opinions on the PSU. I like the 630w vs the 500w.

Don't think 500w would be enough. Just did a PS Calculator and came up with 612w.

Bug ya again Daggs....

This combo has a better PSU with more watts and is $5 cheaper. The case isn't as good (I don't think). Which do you think is a better buy? I figure with the extra watts, that leaves room to grow. Especially if I add another video card.

your build is amd based, you cannot setup a triple channel memory on amd build only dual.
you can try and go i5, in that case, check the combos here http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductCombos.aspx?Item=N...
take in account the at going i5 will increase the cost of the build and may even go over your limit. don't get me wrong., it can me done, I've seen it. it is up to you, if your main usage is gaming then for the same price you can bump the build to P II955 and almost the same performance.

Think I'll stick with what I got so far. This is all new to me. Guess I need to read some more guides.

There's nothing wrong with ordering bare drives. The motherboard will come with SATA cables.

Oh ok. So I won't need to buy any additional wires for a bare drive vs a retail drive?

New at this, just want to make sure. Everything else looks good and compatible?

Thanks!

The Samsung F3 is considerably faster than that WD Blue 500GB drive. I would definitely get the F3. Your motherboard comes with at least two SATA cables. It would be better to just buy another SATA cable than waste money on a retail HD.

Cool added that to the cart, only 3 bucks, cheap.

Hopefully I'll get this thing ordered tonight or tomorrow. Any suggestions for a cheap mouse? Every cheap one I find is for a laptop.
