Sorry having to hijack this thread as I can't seem to create my own (feel free to move it).

I am looking at two machines both indenitical price and spec except processor.

I have read a bit and apart from the speed difference (intel 2.5ghz and amd 2.83 or so ghz) there appears to be no real difference.

I need a machine for office tasks, some video/sound work, photoshop and sims 3 (my bad i know).

Does anyone have any insights on which one I should or shouldn't go for? Thanks

Also, realize, that Core2 Duo/Core 2 Quad are dead. Better go AM3. Also, are you building this or just buying it from an OEM like Dell,HP,etc?
