Should I use a non-static backing for the motherboard in my case?

  1. There is no need - the motherboard should be mounted on standoffs, attached to the case, which will prevent any short circuiting.
  2. True dat. It is unnecessary, and would probably just get in the way when aligning the back ports with the I/O shield.
