Some RAID0 questions...

Hi, i'm having a bit of trouble finding answers to all these raid0-related questions i've though up, so it would be awesome if someone who knows this stuff explains to me, or redirects me a thread that talks about it.

Im buying this laptop and i'd really love to run a raid0 on it, for the sake of performance boost. There is practically no useful information about setting up raid0 on a laptop, so i'm in a jam.

*Do i need a floppy, or is there some other other way to install the raid drivers?
*I read about some raid controller, but do laptops have that, specifically that one?

I'm only getting the laptop tomorrow, and it's going to be completely empty, so i guess i could try to do a fresh install and give raid0 a try.
Am i supposed to link the 2 hdds together? How?
