Hello all,

Today I put together my first PC/HTPC and everything went great except for ONE thing. The CPU fan is ridiculously LOUD. Everything else in my system is very quiet. I think the fan is just spinning at full speed all the time regardless of CPU load.. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? What can I do to fix this?

I also uploaded a video to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Tt4SSAMBg

Thanks in advance,

Arman

On an ASUS mobo u have some unique ASUS features like EPU engine and Q-fan. EPU helps to save some energy wile u don,t need much power,is very easy to use. Q-fan is like a rheobus, but is a software that help to regulate the fan speed on a system, based on temperatures. If u don't have these installed yet go to the ASUS web site support, specially for Win 7 support . U may use also the AMD Cool&Quiet feature to get the same results. U will find these on "utilities" section. I think u can access the Q-fan utility from the BIOS, or using PC ProbeII as a program in Windows.

All features in the last post must first be enabled in bios. So, check your motherboard manual for these features.
