Could Overclocking the CPU cause graphics issues?

I have recently built a new gaming computer to run Battlefield 3.
I have experienced artifacts in the graphics while playing. This may happen after a few minutes, or sometimes I can play for quite some time before having an issue.

I generally have both my GTX560Ti and Phenom II X6 1100t overclocked. And what I did notice a couple times is that when I run my Phenom at stock settings, the issue seems to be less or none existant. However, whether I overclock my GTX560ti or not seems to make no difference.

So the big question is. Could overclocking my CPU cause graphics in BF3?

More about could overclocking graphics issues
  1. How big is your power supply?
  2. Oh, sorry. I have a Thermaltake 850watt PSU.
  3. Also, just upgraded my mobo and processor. The problem was basically the same on both systems. First set up was an ASUS M5A88-M and Phenom II X6 1075. And now it is an ASUS Crosshair V Formula and Phenom II X6 1100t. Same GTX560Ti though.
