Dell has just released a new low end laptop, the Inspiron 1000. Has
anybody seen one or played around with one yet? I'd be using it to do
basic stuff - e-mail, web-surfing, a little web development. Any
thoughts/opinions or the machine?

thanks,

Steve

I'd also be interested in anyone's reaction to or experience with this
machine. I'm about at the end of my rope with my antique (Pentium
150MHz, Win'95) desktop. And given my current circumstances, it
probably makes more sense for me to just get a laptop vs. another
desktop (at least for now). I'm tempted to just go ahead and order
this puppy, but I would at least like to get a good picture of it...
an image large enough to get an idea about how the thing actually
looks, etc. If anyone can direct me to an online image that's of
useful size, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks.
