I am using a 9-pin DIN adapter on the TV-Out port on my Radeon 4850 card. It is plugged into the top card; I have 2 in crossfire. I have a 50-foot Component cable plugged into the adapter and to an older TV on the other end. In windows 7 resolution screen, the options are (for adding display)
Display on Component
Display on S-Video (takes priority over component if both are added)
Display on VGA
Display on VGA
I can add up to 4 additional displays using the adapter. My TV responds only to S-Video and Component.
Problem: On component, the picture is black and white, and rolls upward. Useless, unwatchable. On S-Video, the picture is stable, fits the screen, seems to have component-like quality BUT is black and white. The cable ends are plugged in correctly, I have already confirmed multiple times. Other than the black and white, the set up works perfectly. What have I done wrong? I can upload (or link to) pictures if needed.
-------edit-----
I adjusted the refresh rate in CCC and the rolling has been corrected (component), and there IS some color, but it is not what it should be. Very red and green. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
