Hello,

I have the following board:

"Intel BOXDP55WB LGA 1156 Intel P55 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard"
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121388&nm_mc=OTC-sho6b0tCA&cm_mmc=OTC-sho6b0tCA-_-Motherboards+-+Intel-_-Intel-_-13121388

I found this memory selling for $20 a piece from a buy who is upgrading:
"Kingston KTL-TCM58/2G 2GB 1X2GB DDR3-1066 240PIN DIMM Memory Module"
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=40102&vpn=KTL-TCM58%2F2G&manufacture=Kingston

My question is is it compatible? Voltage seems fine, DDR3, DIMM, but it says that it is compatible with Lenovo(does it mean with Lenovo systems only?)

I'm sorry if it sounds stupid, I really do not know.

Thank you,

Cheers,

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

The RAM is compatible, the Lenovo compatibility means that in that specific system can works without problems. But can work in your mobo.

But is better buy 2x2GB that 2x1GB, because you can add more RAM in the future without remove you 2x1GB.

But that would cost at least 100$ before tax, and Starcraft 2 should be fine on 2gb :)

Thanks though, I'll keep it in mind.
