II am stumped

Hello,
I installed used sata hdd in my dell optiplex 760 but the bios does not recognize the drive. Can anyone point me in the right direction

need more info , typr of MB , how much can you see in the bios, how many cd rom ,floppy, other hdd. Can those be seen? When you connected your ssd was power disconnected and of course you have sata ports? Did you look in the boot menue and the hdd list to make sure the drive was at the top. How old is the computer and do the specs say is supports ssd. Also since it is a used ssd are you sure it works.
