  1. Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

    1- What is your budget?
2- I would wait until April 26th for one of this both beautiful mobos: ASUS Crosshair IV or MSI 890FX-GD70
3- If you want buy your mobo now, I would go for the Gigabyte 790FXTA
4- From your options, I would go for the Gigabyte.
  2. I would go with the Gigabyte. They are more reliable. Less chance it will break down.
  3. For several years, I have preferred Gigabyte motherboards. I now have 5 of them.
  4. Thanks for the replies.

@saint19: I already have the case and a few other components, but overall I'm keeping it under $1000, preferably $800. So I'll probably stick with the gigabyte mobo I picked out over the 790FXTA for the sake of cost unless theres a huge performance boost

^Ok, not problem. The 790XTA is also a very good option for the money. The 790FXTA is the best option if you want run Crossfire at x16 and a high end OC, but like I see you only want a GPU and mid end OC, so, go for the 790XTA.
