Are you running it on the integrated gpu (HD 3200)? I'm curious to know your cpu usage while running the 1080p. Also, is the 60% with your desktop with the unlocked core? On more thing; is your cpu stable. Have you ran a torture test of any sort on it, such as prime95 since you unlocked to extra core?

no i havent torture tested i used that on my gaming rigg and it always failed but i have been running a oc system for over a year and never had a problem so i dont really trust that program i am using the integrated gpu its a hd 4200 and says its capable of running 1080p i found that i am able to run it now but my cpu usage goes anywhere between 40% as high as %80 average of 55ish but i did have to oc my cpu to 3.3ghz for it to run without being choppy i read on reviews that just that cpu in single core status could run 1080p no problem but maybe someone here has the same setup and can relate to this issue

Prime 95 is a reliable program that stresses the system to the point where faults will appear, and if they do, that means your system is unstable. Just prime95 reports an error, you may not notice it in everyday computing since you probably aren't stressing the cpu/ram as much as prime 95 does. However, it still means your system is unstable, and it could crash at a time when you least suspect it.

The OC might have been all that you needed, then, and since it's not going over 80%, if you're worried about heat, you could probably back it off a tad, too. I'm curious, though, which OS are you using?

That's interesting. I thought you might be running Vista or 7 (lots of system resources used in the background) and if that were the case that might explain why you were getting choppy frames on stock clocks. Since you're running xp, however, that doesn't make sense. If it's stable at those clocks with the extra core unlocked, I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck

I would keep the 750W for future upgrades and possible SLI in the future. Will save you...
