I need some help finding a good AMD processor, motherboard, and memory for under 250.

I want something that'll last me 3 or 4 years.

I prefer triple or quad core and ddr3 so it'll last me.

Also, is there a major benefit from DDR2 to DDR3 when not using an i5/i7 or high end?

please no articles about ram because I hate long articles sorry :]

Usage: Web browsing, light gaming (Left 4 Dead), music, and anti virus.

$254 shipped after $25 rebate.

The 720BE is just as fast as the 940BE in gaming and is capable of 3.8ghz.

Theres no benefit of DDR3 over DDR2 except for future upgradability.

what's the best ddr3 ram under like 80?
if there's any.
Most kits I've seen are in the 85-95 range.

The one zipzoom linked above has good timings and comes to only $75 after rebates.

Might also look into an Athlon 2 620 or 630 for your money as well to grab a budget quad. Could always overclock it and should get better as more games and programs become optimized for multicore.
