I have a optiplex 330, with a 1gb 667mhz piece of ram. If I get 2gb piece (667 mhz, http://cgi.ebay.com/2GB-DDR2-PC2-5300-667-MHz-240-Pin-Desktop-RAM-2-G-New_W0QQitemZ160420924698QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2559d50d1a) and put it in with the 1 gb piece, would it still turn out to be 3gb? Would it work with the different memory sizes? :bounce:

Hi.

Of course you will see a difference, but is better get the RAM in kits 2GB, 4GB or 8GB. Your mobo don't support tri-channel, so, at least one stick of RAM will run at single channel that isn't good for performance.

Intel have some called "flexchannel", but I'm not sure if this works in your PC.
