When computer is booted up nothing appears on the screen except a message saying No Video Input. Emachine was fine when it was turned off an hour ago. I'm trying to determine which video card to get for a replacement and have had no luck finding out which card to get. The stats tell me the card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6100 GPU but when I go to the GeForce web-site I can't tell which of the GeForce cards is for this machine. I'm not very computer literate and need help! Thanks.
did this on my dad e-machine last week. you need to go into the bios and change your display to use the graphics card rather than the onboard. cant remeber exactly but have a look around in your bios. it should be easy enough to find.
that is, if your actually trying to install a GPU. if you arent then i have no idea.

According to a quick google search, that is not a graphics card. It is on board video.
Thanks very much. I am a novice and knew it was on the motherboard but used the wrong phraseology. I've decided to dump the e-machine and get another kind of computer
