Hello,
i believe my dell optiplex 2.4ghz motherboard is dead... i tried to install a linksys pci wireless card on the board and ever since it hasnt even booted to the bios

Boards are rarely repaired, except for bad caps. I would look for a used one on ebay, or salvage what parts you can, and build your own. You might get lucky and find a good used board or barebones setup on your local craigslist.

If the computer worked fine till you opened the case odds are you did knocked something lose in the case. is the switch on the back of the case on, are the front panel wire secure, are both MB power wires plugged in, does the GPU need power, have you reset, the bios,....
