Install over or remove

HI guys this is in keeping with my first post about agp cards I currently have a 3650 iinstalled in shop. now am buying a 4670 different shop installing myself. driver question the tech in the first shop said he even had a little trouble installing the drivers, (had to point them at the card whatever that means.) My question should i remove the 3650 drivers first or just install the 4670 over top of them. Maybe a silly question but i have only installed nvidia cards before and they are fine to install drivers over.
However have heard a lot of stories of sapphire drivers being a nightmare to install. would like a stress free install if possible, your advice thanks
ps how do you point drivers at a card?

Always remove the old drivers first.

You shouldn't have to manually point them to the card. Just download, and double click when ready.
