My wireless router died now the replacement wont work

Hello,
My wireless router recently just died which when i got a replacement of the same type i found it was just the power supply that went bad. I have been using my wireless router as pretty much just an RJ45 splitter for a while now but when i replaced it with the new one of the same model it doesnt work. All the lights come on and it seems to be working fine but there my computers that are connected to it show no network connection and no internet connection.

Any ideas?

Tried with the firewalls off temporarily in the computers ?

i havent but i will when i get home from work tonight. I am able to get internet on both computers if i plug each individually into the modem but only if i go through unplugging it and waiting awhile before i plug it back in
