I would download and install speedfan and monitor your voltages. when a PSU starts to fail it normaly gives less voltage and you may be getting too much but anything can happen.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that. Worthy of note - I replaced my ailing 7600 with a 9600GT a week back and around the time the USB issues started too. I'll try speedfan and get back, thanks.

Thats not the 12 volt reading thats -12 volt which means nothing it isnt registering his 12 volt and speedfan sucks at getting voltage. If you want try HWMonitior from www.cpuid.com that is pretty accurate and to get a real reading use a multimeter to check it directly.
