Hanging up

I am using AMDX2 245 Processor with Asus make M2N68-AM Plus motherboard with 2 GB ram & windows XP professional Os, when we load the Photoshop and start working the system becomes very slow and virtually Hangs,what will be reason for this problem

tbh plain and simply photoshop is very demanding it's an old processor and 2gb of ram is not enough

Get some more RAM.. It will help out immensely.

@dummos---> Its an AM3 chip..Really not that old

Max ram supported on that board is 4GB = Less then ideal for photoshop.

i know it's not that old but photoshop is very resource hungry for a dual core processor and 2gb of ram.
