Ram overvoltage

i have an Asus M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard & OCZ 2GB DDR3 1333MHz Gold Memory CL9(9-9-9-20) 1.7V Unbuffered installed, on cpu-z it says the voltage is at 1.5v, but it should be at 1.7V, i tried to change it in bios but the only available option is "Overvoltage" How to i change my ram voltage to 1.7v? Thanks, and could the wrong voltage be causing errors in memtest86+ & occasional bsod? thanks, chris

  1. If CPU-z shows 1.5v, it's probably what it set itself to as the "auto" setting in BIOS. You should go into your BIOS and "overvolt" it to 1.7 (+.2V) or however it lists it in your particular BIOS. Also- undervolting could easily cause many of those problems. If you set it to 1.7V and still have problems, there is something else going on.
  2. Thanks, ill try it out and update in a few days :D
  3. cool- good luck.
