Sorry for the weird title.

I have two computers on a network. One is connected to the router through a port on the back(the desktop), the other is wireless (the laptop).

I can connect the laptop to the desktop. no problem.

the desktop can see the laptop, but when I attempt to connect to it, I cannot get past the username password screen. Both computers can ping each other.

the desktop is windows 7 64 pro, the laptop XP pro.

Do I need to enable something in the laptop to allow it to be accessed? I just don't understand.
