Hey guys,

Im only used to using the regular inputs in the 7.1 claro plus. I'm really interested in the halo version with amplifier but i dont know if my system is compatible with those inputs. I use audio technica a700's which should work and a logitech 5.1 sound system that uses the regular green blue red etc etc inputs for front side sub surround etc. The problem is im a noob and i dont see those on the halo card it only says mic in line in and then the special SPDIF in and out. Can anyone explain to me if my sound system will still be compatible and can i make use of the amplifier to get the best quality sound for my headphones + sound system and if there is any cables or converters i would need?

So you can't get analog surround out of the Halo. And the a700's, while a good headset, can't really take advantage of the powered amp the Halo brings to the table. The Halo, like the ASUS ST/STX, is meant to drive RCA Stereo analog outputs and high quality headphones. Based on your setup, I think you'll be quite happy with the Claro+.
