Ive quarantined a virus but my internet is still running slow

Hello,
as per the title above, my internet is running very slow after I quarantined a virus. Because I quarantined it after it had infected my laptop will this be the virus that is causing this? It was virus EXP/CVE-2012-0507; programming language Java

What AV do you use ? You may still be infected. Try some other malware scanners - Malwarebytes is a good one. Do a search for others.

Use a bootdisc like Hirens or bartPe. That way you can completely remove any virus or any other infections. Malwarebytes is recommended ever since Spybot S&D has been getting bloated over the pass years.
