New mobo installed but winXP installaion id not working

Hello,
i have installed a new motherboard and windows xp has given me an installation id to activate over the phone or internet. the internet option doesnt work and when i phone windows the automated service doesnt work and sais i may have been the victim of internet piracy. what should i do?

Internet piracy may be how the automated service interprets the problem but the cause is the use of a different motherboard from the one WXP was installed on.

If you can logon to Windows XP, you may have to keep trying to reactivate it till you succeed... and if you can't logon, your solution is a repair-reinstallation of Windows XP... that usually helps, and after that you should have no trouble activating it.
