Hard disk not detected

what should I do if my hard disk is not detected.. Also it appears boot failure. Please Help

You need to prep the hardrive before installing. At least format it. I use the hardrive manufacturer's software, such as maxblast for maxtor and seagate drives. Other manufacturer's also have their own installation software. For an existing drive, decide if it's going to remain your boot device or switch it to secondary drive. For ide, just change the jumper. For sata, the software will prep it and make a drive to drive copy if desired.
