Hello everyone.

I'm new here in Tom's hardware.
For the past few weeks, I've been reading articles about DIY pcs, IT updates, overclocking and many more. I've learned a lot about computer hardware from this site and since I'm just a newbie, I easily get confused on trying to build a pc.

If anyone could help, I need an expert's opinion in building a budget PC for Schoolwork/Programming/Gaming.

The budget is about $550 or Php25,000 (Philippine Peso)

Thanks in advance and more power to you all.

Specify your monitor and its resolution and it'll be easier for everyone here to suggest a video card and thus parts to build around it. It's also best to propose your own setup, instead of asking people to fill in the blanks.
