Will my CPU overheat?

I have a Noctua NH-C14 CPU fan & heatsink along with an Intel Core i7 2600K CPU and an ASUS P8Z68-V PRO motherboard.\


I'm planning on overclocking the CPU to at least 4.4GHz. The problem: my CPU fan's connector is 3-pin and the CPU Fan header on the motherboard is 4-pin -- I know I can connect it but... Since the last pin is Fan Control, does it mean that my CPU fan is not under control at all?

AND, If I am on heavy gaming and the CPU is under pressure, will my CPU fan not speed up and work on full speed? Or, will it run on full speed all the time?

Please help!

It should run on high speed all the time.

it will just run on max speed all the time. the fourth pin just changes the variable speed of PWM

in bios cpu fan control there are option auto, disabled, 4pin and 3pin .. If you sellect 3 pin and do configuration .. It will under control ..
