Memory speed on i5-750

i've read now that 1600mhz is better than 1300mhz memory, as the memory controller is only 1333 on the i5-750 can you still run 1600mhz? must you downclock or something?

No. The extra speed may be only when the voltage is set higher, or for overclocking.
