Ever since I installed a new HITACHI drive model HDS721010 CLA332 ATA Device I am having problems with Microsoft word and I wanted to know if it is related to this drive.

I did a image copy of my OS and applicaition to this drive and it booted fine.

What I find is that in word I can save a document I wrote then after a minute or two or any randam time when I try and save the document again it comes up with a write permission problem. Some times I have save a word document and then opened it and it is there, but some times I think it is there and when I exit word compeltely and look at the file it is blank and it says it is zero magabytes. Sometimes when I get this write permission error I rename it and it may save it but when I look at the folder it says zero bytes. I am wondering if word is writting my file to cache when I save it and it never gets to the drive.

Any idea and over 20 years of using a PC I have never seen anyting like it.
