Best processor for motherboard

I have a Asus P5N-D mother board with a NVIDA nForce 750i chipset front side bus is 1333 / 1066 / 800 MHz Right now I'm running a Q9300. I was thinking about a Qx9770 processor to put in. Is this the best processor for the money for the board I have?

No, all the EXTREME edition CPUs are EXTREMELY overpriced. The best upgrade with your current motherboard is Q9550.

Q9550s cost around $169.99 at Microcenter. On Newegg, they're overpriced at $250

If you don't live near a Microcenter, see if you can get a Q9400 for ~$180 on Newegg.
