Hello,
I just finished assembling a system with maximus II, ballistix DDR2 800 (4GB), HIS 4850 with the Supremex -xfi audio card from ASUS(comes with the MB).
Unfortunately, I am finding that the SupremeX xfi card only outputs 2-channel stereo (as indicated on my Denon Amp). The receiver works fine as it detects multichannel input from my other sources like DVD player, DirectTV HD DVR etc.
But when I play the DVD in my LG Blue ray drive the receiver says it can detect only 2 channel sound. I have selected 5.1 sound everywhere I can in my Win XP SP3 rig. I am using the drivers which came with the MB and it matches what is on their web site.
I am using an optical connection.
Does anyone have experience with the supremex xfi card and win xp? I would like to hear their epxeriences.
Thanks in advance...
