FSX is on the extreme CPU end of the CPU / GPU spectrum, and is the most CPU bound title you can run. Frames per second are 85% driven by processors cores and clock frequency. As such, FSX performs best on a highly overclocked i7 920 with a mainstream nVidia card such as a GTX 260, so the 5870 is overkill.
