APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Would Like to purchase within the month.

BUDGET RANGE: $800 at least and $1200 at most.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Photo Editing (Photoshop), Gaming, Surfing the net, listening to music

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: neweggs and even amazon if possible.

PARTS PREFERENCES: Core i7

OVERCLOCKING: Yes

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200, will use an old 21in CRT and wish to switch to an LCD in the future.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I would like to take something that is as cheap as possible that will give me great performance. My PC that I currently have is falling apart and want to get some new, instead of having to replace parts on this old one.

Between the new socket problems and old overvoltage issue, I am now hesitant to recommend a P55 motherboard. The socket problem in particular has me very concerned. I dont know why the story isnt getting more attention.

I would go with Tecmos #2 i7 920 build with x58 motherboard.
