I just set up a Media PC in my living room, nothing elaborate, but I want a remote to control it and my DVR receiver, and TV etc.

I am looking at the Harmony series by Logitech, but these dont look like they have the IR or RF receivers. Is that something I have to purchase separately? They are $99, on top of a remote thats $150. Thats nuts.. any other suggestions?

Im guessing your Media PC case didnt have an IR receiver built in?
You could get by with a USB IR receiver dongle
A slightly better option is to get a MCE remote with a 'hockey-puck' USB IR receiver and just use the IR receiver.

Im using the old WinXP/MCE hockey puck IR receiver and you can still find a few of those on Ebay.
