NorthBridge Frequency

I had a few issues with my ram timings and frequency so I emailed G.Skill support. This is what I said:

Hi. I am an owner of the following RAM. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303 I bought this like about a year and a half ago. I tried manually configuring the timings as the advertised speeds (7-8-7-24-2N @ 1.6V) since my motherboard defaulted it as 1333 MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings @ 1.5V. After manually changing the timings in my BIOS, I ran memtest for a few hours and got 7 passes with 0 errors. But something was odd or went wrong. My computer kept getting BSODs and kept restarting on its own ever since I adjusted the new timings on my BIOS. The restarts and BSODs would stop after I changed back the timings and voltage to the default ones. Is there anything that could be wrong with my RAM or BIOS settings? I'm currently running these RAMS paired with a Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition CPU running at stock speeds paired up with an ASUS M4A89TD PRO motherboard. If I could get some feedback or information on how to solve this issue, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

CPU-NB Frequency needs to be 2400MHz to keep up with the memory.

I already changed the NB frequency to 2400MHz and manually changed the frequency of my ram from 1333 to 1600 along with the correct timings and voltage as the advertised ones. My computer is running good so far without any BSODs or restarts at the moment, but is there anything else in the BIOS that I have to change/adjust since I changed the frequency of my NB? I'm not able to connect to their forums at the moment for some reason so I just went with the advice that G.Skill suggested me.

Aside from that. What would the frequency of each dim read as if I were to have a 4x4GB kit installed in all 4 dims? Would they read as 400MHz each or 800MHz each? (The motherboard I have supports dual channel memory and has 4 dim slots). Just curious.

According to CPU-Z, your RAM speed is 1605.4 MHz at the advertised latencies, so it is doing better than G. Skill says it should.

If you add another set, the RAM speed and latencies should remain the same. You may have to increase the northbridge voltage an increment or two with all the DIMMs populated.
