I'm thinking about buying one of these cards in the upcoming weeks and was wondering if they would even fit in my case. It would hurt the budget to have to buy a new case, too, considering my current case is around half a year old and works great.

My current case is:

APEVIA X-JUPITER-JR G-Type X-JPJGT-BK Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

I haven't taken a look recently, but I vaguely remember the HD 4890 I have installed currently being a tight fit. The card fit easily but if my memory is correct, it was hard to attach the power supply cords to it because of the hard drive bays.

What are the size differences between the HD 4890 and HD 5870 / HD 5850? Will they fit my case is my ultimate question? A new case is not "necessarily" out of the question but that would certainly hurt the budget after buying a $400 card and a new monitor :)

Its about 10.75" long, but the power connectors are on the top now so it may be a bit easier fit. Make sure to do some measurements, you might have to bust out the dremel. If it wont fit you could always go for a 5850, which performs a bit better than the GTX 285.
