Hello,
I am replacing a motherboard in a gateway tablet, i recieved the board this morning however when i went to replace it i found that the old board came with an ATI video chip on it and the new board doesnt have one. How can i remove the chip from old board and put it on the new one??

Typically GPUs are not replaceable on the vast majority of laptops without some creative soldering work that would likely void the warranty.

I'll assume you're a certified technician because of your username. I'd recommend contacting Gateway to be sure that they didn't simple revise the board with the GPU in a different location or integrated into a different chip.

How would a program physically remove a piece of hardware from a motherboard?
