GPU won't fit into Case

So i recently recieved my EVGA 9800 GTX+ GPU, along with my Rosewill Wind Knight ATX case. I installed the motherboard and as i was trying to install the GPU i noticed that it didn't fit. I tried toggling i and everything but it won't fit. Yes it's the right slow, and it's in the right way, but theres a metal tab at the end of the graphics card that pushes against the back wall of the case, preventing it from fitting into it's slot(It's a few millimeters off), and i was wondering what to do. I'd rather not RMA the case or buy a new one, and i heard from a few friends that it would be better to just modify the case, and create more room by removing/indenting the metal.

Also, yes my Graphics Card is going into a compatible slot. Thanks for the help.

Did you install the motherboard standoffs ?
