First off, thanks to Proximon. If not for him I would have bought a disaster machine.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Tonight BUDGET RANGE: $465.26 / $430.26 After Rebates and including warranties and shipping. :D

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Recording music, surfing the internet, watching movies, playing games.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: GPU, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: AMD Athlon IIx2, Gigabyte mB AM3

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1600x1200 max

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I'm okay with the amount that I am spending on this right now, but I will not spend any more than this amount because I'm pretty confident that this is the right build for me. I expanded my budget so that I'm not buying the cheapest available components and exceeded my needs so that I won't wonder whether I should have done things differently. I've read tons of reviews and spec sheets and compared speeds and voltages and looked at things that I will maybe never understand, and I feel like I've finally made informed decisions.

Everything looks good if you not overclocking.

Edit: It's not even on Newegg, just buy what you were going to get. Sure it's better, and probably worth waiting for, but this is one of those times where you just buy what you have planned cause you ain't going to get a "WOW" night and day difference from the two.

Yeah, multitasking such as running a virus while playing a game... Makes you you wonder why Tom's still performs these tests... Don't make me laugh.

Not worth your wait and 11 dollars. Let's just put it that way.

If I had waited just a few hours, I would have gotten free shipping on the motherboard and CPU. Anyone think I can persuade newegg to refund the shipping cost?

Edit: Uhh, nevermind. I was confused about what I was charged for. It would help if they listed shipping charges for each item on the invoice. I have suggested it to them now.

That is really a hit and miss situation. We can be here all day waiting for discounts can't we? Don't be ridiculous.

My point is, would you be able to wait for however long it took Newegg to get the x3 435 in? Nuff said.

I still remember the day when I waited for a discount on my workstation... Sure, it was appropriate. About 1,000 dollars discount off appropriate... Too bad Dell don't throw out discounts like that no more.
