So, I'm making a budget build for mostly an all purpose system, but mostly gaming. I picked out these things but I was wondering what changes to make, or if any. OH! and the Target price is 800$ AT MOST, 800$ is pushing it, and I prefer using Newegg. So Basically 750$ is the Price range. My current choices are: OH and if you didn't know either, its a rode based build.

Just another thing for you to take a look at, though this has more potential than what I posted up earlier. Still would need an aftermarket heatsink and additional fans for you probably if you plan to OC.

These would be my suggestions -

HDD - I dont see any point buying that 160GB HDD...Even though you can upgrade later, this 500GB HDD would cost you ~$10 more after shipping...and is well worth it...It is significantly faster too...
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136075

CPU + Mobo - I would suggest an AM3 setup rather than the AM2+(DDR2) as the price premium is reduced now...
And I would suggest the X2 550 - As you will be trying to unlock the cores anyways, why not get the CPU, that has better chances to unlock the cores ?

I had build a PC with the X2 550 for my friend few days back and had unlocked the 3rd and 4Th core without any issues and that CPU is running 3.2GHz stable with all cores unlocked at 1.25V, which is very good and that too with stock HSF. And even if the core unlock is not that successful, still that CPU can overclock high and can handle games very well...
1. ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X + X2 550
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.273358

RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231277

CPU Cooler - Definitely this one... Far better than that CM and comes with TX-2
Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835207004

GPU - Any particular reason why that card ?
For less than that price, I would suggest this one...It performs as good as the GTS 250 or the ~ 4850 equivalent and is a next gen card...So this would be a better buy at this price...
SAPPHIRE 100284L Radeon HD 5750 1GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102859

These changes wouldn't have changed you total much...But you do get next gen components without sacrificing performance...

I agree with gjay about the HD, but think you should stay with your X3 cpu and not go to X2 as multiple cores are becoming more significant. But you should move up to DDR3 memory and a board that supports it, such as:

GIGABYTE GA-MA790GPT-UD3H $99.99 AR

So i did change the HD to the Seagate 500gb 7200RPMS but downgraded Mobo to the AMD 770 Gigabyte MOBO capable of unlocking 100% and stuck with the same cpu and cpu cooler but changed to the Ripjaw Ram. Changed the GPU/Graphics card to the XFX 1gb 256-bit 4870, didn't go with the 5000s because all the lower price ones don't compete with the 4870+ as they don't go higher than the 128 bit, i think. Anymore changes i should do? as to cable management stuff like that?

Which Gigabyte 770 board are you going with? Is it for DDR2 or DDR3 memory? Does it have double video card slots?

Based this build alot on what i did earlier today with this one. Though I went out and put in more expensive things in your for cosmetic purposes (antec 300 illusion for the light show with the 750watt psu combo for expandability, and $20 more expensive mobo for crossfire capabilities, as well at ddr3 1600)

I would have tossed in a 5850 but they are sold out (I would've made it work in your budget too somehow, but probably sacrifice the nice looks and expandability). But at least with this you have money to spare. Oh and on another note the tricool fans in the case listed have a fan controler, I know mine do in my antec 900 (which they also have a similar deal going on newegg with the same PSU I think if you like that style better)

Oh thing is, i didn't go with the Antecs that are below the 902, cause most of them don't have pre-cut cable management holes. So yeah. And the thing about the mobo. I guess i'll go with that one, refering to the asus 790x. I heard it could unlock but I'm not quite sure :P.

Actually with the Antec 300, you tuck the cables inside the case off to the side of the hard drives if you open up the picture of it you see there is an opening there to tuck cables into. (5th picture on newegg you can see it clearly)

Well the newer Antec 900's (not 902, the plain old 900's) do have pre-cut holes, I know this since I bought one. Though its definately not exactly the funnest thing to be using to tell you the truth as I had alot of cables to hide it took me about an hour and more zip ties than I care to count to hide most of the cables. The pre-cut holes are placed in the same place as the 902 except im not sure if I have the small horizontal hole on the bottom (almost positive I don't).

Newegg doesn't seem to be showing the newer version of the 900.
