AMD power build under $900

So, I've found a ton of valuable information on this site, but one thing I can't decide on right now in my AMD build is which mobo to go with. Sofar, I am thinking of a Phenom II x 4 955 or 965 CPU, but which gx/fx mobo to go with eludes me. Any recommendations? Definitely going to get a VUd card, not sure which though, thinking a Radeon 4870, but again, not sure. As far as other things go, I am thinking something along the following...

I'd like some high end memory "1600 lat7 is prefferable, or is there anything better in an AMD build?)
750 watt corsair psu I found at Newegg for $99, thought that would be enough power
640 gb Black Caviar WD HD drive, seemed like one of the fastest/most reliable non SSD or raptor drives
An optical drive with lightscribe

Any recommendations for this under $900 build? And is the 955 really more reliable than the 965? I already have a few builds in mind, but would like to see you inputs first to see how well that matches up with what my research has got me already.
