CPU heat sink

Concerning my case:

I got a lanboy air yellow:

I wanted to know of a heatsink, and it's dimensions. On overclock.net I was told I could use this specific heatsink as long as I had a 120mm rear fan, and if it was a 140mm rear fan it would not be possible, that it is the size motherboard that mainly matters concerning height and such.

So the CPU's I was looking at are.

Thermalright silver arrow and noctua dh-4, thermaltake frio extreme (not yet released, I do not see it in retail). and 212 evo

I mainly want a good end performance air cooler, basically one that is future proofed. I am going to change the majority of the stock fans in that case. I was really interested in the thermalright silver arrow, and that is the main one I want, so will it fit in my case with all I was told?

I was told that it could fit, want to know of any others with this case whom have tried it out?

also considering getting this along with a bunch of intelligent PWM based fans some artic cooling fans and gelid fans, along with a coolink fans (which comes with a two way splitter).

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13548/cab-464/Akasa_F... (may get two of these for the fact that the cpu header alone is a four pin, and the system2 fan header on my motherboard is also a four pin header, so if I have multiple fans that are PWM and also remove stock fans there will be a need to stick them to the other header and not populate the CPU header).

So yeah can you name a list of the best and worst CPU heat sink fans, that can be listed? because I know there is more than dh-14 and the SA, yet only get these recommended, is there none better than these two?

Why has there been no big info on the frio extreme yet?

and is MX-4 better than the stuff supplied with heatsinks, do you recommend freezing thermal paste before use, or something of the sort? thanks to the fact that the liquid at room temperature might come out to fast?

I need some advice thanks for taking your time to read. :)

The Lanboy is 8.7" wide so any 160mm tall cooler will fit.
I have a 902(8.6")wide and have a 160mm tall cooler in it with a couple of mm to spare.
The SA comes with Chillfactor 3 paste which is very good btw.
MX-4 is no better.
The best widely available paste are Prolimatech PK-1,Tuniq TX-3,and AS5.
If you froze the paste you'd never be able to apply it.
What cpu are you cooling?

i5 preferably plan to over clock it, also have a friend who has an I7 2600k he needs new thermal paste, bought some cheap stuff that did not work...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

one says nono and the other says pro so I assumed the pro was a new version confused.. because it's sold out on new egg.

edit:

oh boy must be exhausted it is the same one >.<, just in bigger and smaller packages. I see, well.

:)  thanks for the help, donno what cpu heat sink i'll get waiting to see the frio extreme get a good review and release here, but it is either SA, Dh14, and last and least evo.

the other two before evo are future proofed so...

Yeah the Frio Extreme is a good cooler but like all Frio versions the fans are loud.
The SA has very quiet fans.

The silver arrow has a lot of ram clearance issues. How tall is your ram.

Yeah, mine are low profile, and the reason i want Sa, would be the fact that i'm.... using stock intel heat sink, and trust me this will feel like a huge improvement from that.

Well it is decided after thinking about it. I am definitely picking the best option - which is thermaright silver arrow.

The frio extreme I really do not know if it is better than the SA, besides the only review I saw was in swedish and I google translated it. I did not see no comparison to it on the chart, and while they say they released it, I do not see it in stores, i am guess stock is not up to par yet? Then it could be the fact they just meant they simply were going Gold with product.

I think you've made the right choice too!
I read a translated review as well German or Swedish might have been the same one.
I can assure you TY-140mm fans are quieter and better then anything Tt offers.
