Eklipz330,

Dude thanks a bunch for posting this link. I got this card just before it sold out.

You rock!

BTW, yes it is worth all $10 for an advance cooling system and a 1% in speed. I hope you picked this up.

Thanks again you rock!

actually i've seen hd 5870's go as low as $359 with free shipping

and no, i didn't pick it up, but i don't regret it either... it wouldn't be a smart move on my part financially, but one day i will

oh and no problem, i actually put it up hoping i can do a service to someone ^_^

it was def sneaked in, and only a few lucky got in on the sale... i was just looking at newegg, and saw this card on the front page, and i was like whooahhh

so i went ahead to check the hd 5870's, and it wasn't even listed there... so I must have gotten there at the same time they put it up, sapphire is getting quicker with the release of these vapor-x coolers, and i guess this is the first official hd 5870 with aftermarket cooling

once again thanks, I was just looking on these forums and found your post. I guess I am one of the lucky few.

As for you seeing these cards for 359, those prices have gone up almost everywhere due to supply shortages (ATI conspiricy i tells ya) and the latest rumors are that the will rise prob around $20 more due to holiday demands. So far these same people predicted these cards jumping up into their current prices.

I can't wait to get this card next week.

That creeped me out too! I looked everywhere (for I was SURE! that this card was only $10 more, but I wanted to go verify my statement (for anti-idiocy reasons). Wasn't under Sapphire Tech, not under HD5870, notttthing.

You can look at all websites that are selling the Sapphire 5870 standard and he price will be around the $389 mark.

A week ago that was different. The price was cheeper. I bet they will go up again very soon. If you guys are looking for one, dont hesitate to puchase one if you can find one.

I can't find anything about this card either. However, some brittish website has it for sale at a 65 pound ($100 us) mark up over the 5870 standard :0

Aye I got two of these before they sold out. Got them yesterday. They are allot heavier them they look :p But on a cool factor of 1-10 they are about a 25 :) Super happy with the buy. On a side note I wish I had foresight to paint the inside of my case gun barrel gray to match them.

Just so everyone knows the ASUS card listed (and other ASUS 5870s you find) are all voltage tweakable and highly overclockable, unlike all the other reference cards out right now. I'd buy the thing now if I could justify the upgrade... $359 is a good deal.

Fits fine in HaF932

I stand corrected on the price. I did not know anyone out there had those cards for 359 anymore. I hope people jumped on that deal.

I will let you know about the size of the card. I will be pacing this in my XPS 730 x. I think it is .5 inches longer than my 4870x2

I havent heard about the other merchant either. I know newegg is great and I am happy that I picked up my Vapor-x 5870 for $400. Even if it is a little higher than the other merchant.

With the Vapor-x we should be able to OC the card a little more than the stock 5870 because these cards run 13 degrees cooler than the stock. ;)

i found the link through a reliable source, a forum where other people have ordered from the site before... did they charge tax for you?

No. I'm in Oregon. We don't have a sales tax.

I like newegg as well. They've been sold out of this card for weeks. Sometimes I get an auto notify, and they are instantly gone by the time I click through.

I know what you mean. I was trying to buy one on Saturday via my iPhone but was still too slow lol. Then I found this link that night and picked me up a Vapor-X model for $10 more :bounce:
