I am facing a problem like during the normal windows operations/ playing music etc my resolution is 1366x768 and while playing the games full screen is not coming and i have tried the BIOS and the compatibility option in the properties dialog of the game short cut to change the resolution. But there is no use.

Did you set the resolution in the game's options? Otherwise, it won't know to run at any other resolution than what it defaults to.
