I am building a system in the next few weeks and was looking for some advise on the hardware in the tower, and on a monitor or LCD tv.

This is the hardware for the tower: My budget for this is around $1600 + tax

- Intel Core i7 920 Quad-Core Socket LGA1366

Plus windows 7 64bit.

I do use photoshop cs4 all the time and I currently have a good 22" LCD monitor but I would like to upgrade to something bigger. A friend of mine has a 50" LCD TV 1080P that is connected to his computer via hdmi and it looks great, but I would like to know the pros and cons of using a LCD TV as your computer monitor. Obviously the size of the screen is a pro, but any cons with the quality? I do some gaming, but mainly photoshop and video editing. Can anyone recommend a good LCD TV to go with?

Thanks!

Your build looks excellent, you could drop down to a 750W PSU while still leaving the option of crossfire open, but that's merely to save a few dollars

I would aim for a nice 30" monitor over a huge TV...

Thanks for the info, I will check out the Antec.

My question to you would be why a 30" monitor over a 50" LCD TV? I'm just curious.

I would prefer 30" LCD over big TV.
It have lower power consumption, higher resolution (2560x1600 vs 1900x1080) and also usually better quality display.
30" is for me max display size that could be comfortable work with as you dont need to turn your head if using it as standard PC monitor. Its also big enough to watch movie even with subtitles from your bed :)
