Disk problems

Hi,

My computer is 3 years old and I started having problems. I scanned the disk and found out that about 0.4% is corrupted. What should I do ? Buy a new disk or is it possible to use some software to fix it. If so which software do you recommend ?
My hard disk is WDC WD 5000AAKS

You still have quite a bit of useful life left in the drive. Most drives will have a small amount of bad sectors.

Use Win CHKDSK / F on the drive. Do frequent backups (good practice anyway).
