I just bought this memory and I know the ocz is compatible with my gigabyte motherboard... and I bought a phenom x4 656 with 8mb cache that doesn't run with it so I have to return that processor, but I have a Phenom x4 656 with 6mb cache that does work coming tomorrow morning... the question is... once I get that processor put in should the OCZ OCZ2RPR10664GK PC2-8500 DDR2 Reaper memory work with everything else? I might add I'm upgrading to windows 7 in a few days the ulitmate one. So if you could please tell me the memory is Go for this that'd be great!

Your post is extremely confusing. For starters what CPU is that exactly? 965? That RAM should work in that motherboard as should a 965 CPU.
