Speakers suddenly don't work- updated drivers

Hello,
I've got the stupid sound blaster 24 bit and it keeps saying that there is no audio device detected. It also says that audio sound blaster is corrupt. This is my question- can I install another program that will make my computer see that I do have speakers or is this a mother board issue???

Uninstall and reinstall drivers.

Ok, well I installed like three new drivers b/c I was desperate and now I am thinking how do I find all the damn things and uninstall and reinstall. Could making my computer go back to a certain date change this? I don't know what it's called- it's like resetting it to last month or last year kind of thing.

You could try a restore point before the corruption ^
