  1. The 1366 socket CPUs and motherboards are designed to use triple channel memory. You may want to rethink your memory choice.

    What's your budget for the motherboard? Do you plan to SLI down the road?
  2. Nah, I'm looking for a perfect combination between my MotherBoard, Processor and memory. I'll buy a i7 920 for sure, now what you suggest me?
  3. You didn't answer aford10's questions. What's your budget for the motherboard? Do you plan to SLI down the road?
  4. Yes, maybe in the future, then yes I plan to SLI, my budget is $+-250,00

    Here's a very nice motherboard with SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, and SLI support:

    GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail $209.99

    I would forget about dual-channel RAM and get the triple-channel RAM that's meant for X58 systems.

    G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI - Retail $189.99

    The i7 930 is the replacement for the i7 920. I would get the 930 instead of the 920.

    You may also want to re-think your GPU decision. The ATI 58xx series is better in every way.
  6. Thanks man, really helpful =P

    Let me see if i understood your tips:

    MB: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

    RAM: G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI

    Processor: i7 930?
  7. ^ Hard to argue with that. Good suggestions.
  8. Just to throw out another option, this Asus is nice.

  9. I had planned to buy a desktop like this one:

    MB: Intel DX58SO ATX;
    RAM:Corsair Dominator 2x2gb 1600 DDR3;
    Processor: i7-920;
    Power Supply: Corsair 750W ATX;
    HD: WD - Caviar Black 1TB SATA;

    Can you make the corrections for me please? you know, like i7-930...
  10. All my suggestions above would apply. The Samsung F3 1TB drive is faster than the WD Caviar Black due to higher data density.

    SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive $89.99
  11. AH sorry, forgot to tell you guys that I already have GTX 275 896 mb =S. hehe

    Thanks anyway.
  12. Oh ok. hehe =P. I'll mix your informations up here, thanks guys.
